I've uploaded a couple of skins but get exp as soon as I upload and I'm not sure if I get exp from downloads, views or ratings so if you could explain how exp works that would be great thank you

Good question, and I'm sorry the current XP system isn't explained anywhere very well. Currently, you get 50xp for each uploaded skin... and 5-10 xp for rating/commenting on skins.

I'm working on a new version of the site where we'll have better ways to earn XP, with better rewards for doing so.
